March 2026: What is something you do to prevent burning out?

February 2026: “What is a great way to retain staff?” 

Answers received: The best way to retain staff is to create a community of belonging after finding out what motivates them.

Invest in your people (your staff) as humans who are unique individuals – see them, hear them, respect them. Paraphrasing a quote – people don’t leave jobs- they leave environments where they feel unheard, undervalued, or stuck.

January 2026:   “What is a great way to retain coalition members?”
Answer received: Connection, shared purpose and passions. When members feel seen, valued and when they are invited to take shared actions for shared results the coalition comes alive. It is super important for the mission and goals of the coalition be clear – successful coalitions involve volunteers in strategic planning and identifying clear missions/vision and critical success factors.
